Bai Hao oolong- Fujian,, China, 2009
HOW IT'S MADE:
Bai hao oolong is smoked with hickory chips soaked in vermouth. This smoked tea is allowed to rest and then evaluated. Non-smoked Bai Hao is often blended back in to stretch the smoke presence and until the correct balance is obtained.
We recommend steeping this tea in a gaiwan or small pot, using 7 grams, or two tablespoons of dry tea and with water temperature between 190-200 degrees, steeping for 30-45 seconds for each bath and repeating as often as you like.
