A spiced black tea made from 1st flush Darjeeling scented with nutmeg, Black Mao Feng and toasted cinnamon and clove. Recipe inspired by a cookie and a desire to do something different. Medium bodied, smooth, sweet, comforting and aromatic. Light vegetal and nutty finish.


60 grams loose tea (approximately 24 8 oz servings), lovingly packed in our tea matchbox.  Includes metal clip to reseal bag once opened.

We start by scenting the Darjeeling tea with freshly cracked nutmeg. Once complete we fold in the twisted Black Mao Feng leaf until blended, then set aside. We then gently toast the spices until fragrant and then fold into the tea while still warm. This blend is allowed to rest to homogenize and develop deep and complex aromas.


Hot:  We recommend using 1 tablespoon (3.5g) of dry tea leaves per 8-10 oz water just off boil. Bring water to tea for this blend, place tea in pot or brewing vessel of choice and pour water directly over leaves. Steep for 5 minutes. 

Cold:  Steep per hot tea suggestions and allow to cool before placing in refrigerator or pouring over ice.
