LOUISIANA BREAKFAST

This tea was inspired by a classic French tea from an old and distinguished maker, but, respectfully, we feel we made it beaucoup better. Starting with a smooth, dark and sweet puerh, we blended in a small amount of red Mao Feng which we lightly scented with bourbon vanilla. Next, we added a delicate amount of Assam for its tannin and astringency, which when combined with the cacao shells gives the tea just the right amount of velvety, chocolate-like texture while staying smooth and easygoing. INGREDIENTS: (in descending order)
Puerh (cooked), Yunnan, China
Red Mao Feng, Zheijang, China
Assam, India, 2nd flush
Cacao Shells (toasted), Peru.
Vanilla Extract, USA
PREPARATION:
Hot: We recommend using one tablespoon (4 grams), of dry tea leaves per 8-10 oz water just off boil. Pour water directly over tea leaves and allow to steep for 5 minutes.
Cold: Steep per hot tea suggestions and allow to cool. Pour over ice.
