BEST COAST BREAKFAST, is our take on a classic English Breakfast tea. It follows a traditional recipe except we flipped the ratios around for a more aromatic and flavorful experience.
Similar to most other English Breakfast teas, strong and astrengent black tea from Assam India, harvested in the second flush season in late May, early June, is the base of this blend (55%).
A sturdy black tea from Yunnan China, with notes of dark honey and leather, fills out the center of the profile and adds a lovely red hue to the liquor (35%).
and lastly, an East of Rift Keynan black adds subtle greener notes while opening up the blends aromatics, similar to a drop of water in a glass of scotch (10%).

Most teas are packed at 7.5 oz / 200 grams, enough tea to last a fortnight for a heavy tea drinker. Hand stamped and filled to order.

FUNCTION, EASE AND DURABILITY
While this Japanese glass carafe was designed for coffee, I see a solution to day-to-day steepings of loose tea. The key is in the lid, its durable design, graduated volume markings, and how damn easy it is to clean.
Just pour your tea through the strainer then set it on top of the pot for a drip free pour. When you are done carry it all to the kitchen.
There the open mouth design makes for easy cleaning. Rinse and throw into dishwasher. Simple, easy, clean and casual. When the neighbors swing by, use a more stylish pot, but most days this is our go-to.
